The Sacred Baptism, and Leroy's Gifts

On this, the first anniversary of Leroy's passing, I am honoring him by giving free copies of his e-book, and sharing his gifts again.

On an earlier post, I said I had set an intention to have moved from this home where he passed on this date. The fact is, that I'm still here, and I will be fine, as I also said, in remembering the gifts Leroy left behind.

Of course I know and believe everything happened just as Leroy planned it, and I now see his drowning in our pool as his Sacred Baptism into Heaven. It happened while I was on an evening walk with Chloe.

Now, regarding that intention I set, another fact is, I am leaving here tomorrow! Yes, and I'm sure I'll be remembering Leroy's gifts, as I head out of town!

I'll leave you with Leroy's Gifts here: Leroy's Gifts

And here is a Free copy of Leroy's e-book: The Life and Adventures of a Pit Bull Named Leroy Brown

My tale of woe

Hello Dear Readers,

Today I have a sad tale of woe to share. The one year anniversary of Leroy Brown's passing is coming up next week. I so wanted to move away from here, before that memory comes around. In fact, I've set the intention that I would be out of here by then....

Well, the day will be here Friday, and, so far, (ever the optimist:) I have no place to move into with my other little dog.

So, I learn to take each day with grace, doing my best everyday, and I remain in harmony with all that is. In other words, I fully Surrender to the Universe, and Trust the Universe Loves and supports me for my Highest Destiny.

If you too are feeling a bit "stuck" at this time, remember to be present in the Now Moment. It is in that Moment, is where you will find Harmony and your Grace.

I will get through this period with ease and grace, as I will also remember the many Gifts Leroy Brown left me. And I Am Grateful.

Know and Trust that you are right where you need to be, for your Highest Destiny. In Nature, flowers surrender to All That Is, and blossom with ease and grace. Let's live in Harmony with Nature.

See the dogs I stopped fighting "with my hand"

Hi again, dear Readers,

Last week I published a blog about how I broke up a dog fight with my hand, and the three surgeries that followed. I included photos of my hand now. See the link here:
http://aforeverhomeanimalrescue.blogspot.com/

Well, today, I realized I should have a post showing the two dogs, my Leroy Brown and Charlie Brown.

Charlie was a new rescue; he is the beautiful golden brown Shepherd/Lab?mix. The other dog in the photos is my beautiful Sunny, a White Shepherd/Collie mix. Sunny Never had a problem with any dog!

Here they are. The first pic is a little blurry, but wanted to include it to show how they were together.

Most of the time, they were pretty peaceful and loving. Of course that was before the Bitch came along...

Just another adventure in Leroy's life. Check out his story here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OXAD88E

Thank You,

Lisa

Hints and Tips for keeping your Pit Bull Happy and Well-Balanced

While this tip may apply to other breeds, it is particularly applicable to Pit Bulls, who were taught to fight. Now a days, people are learning that it is how the dog is treated itself, that will determine the dog's behavior.

In other words, a dog, like all living beings that is treated kindly and with Love, will treat others kindly and with Unconditional Love.

However, there are a couple of caveats to that statement. One is, we must realize that our dog is inclined towards certain tendencies and natural behaviors. Such as, a Collie or a Shepherd may always be inclined to bark at anybody walking by there home, or the mailman driving by, all loud trucks going by, etc.

The smaller Terrier breeds, including the smaller Pit Bulls, may have a tendency to hunt. It is just in their nature.

The second caveat is that even though the Pit Bull you have was raised with Love and Kindness, Fighting may be in his/her DNA from generations ago. Therefore, they may present with the tendency to fight if they feel threatened, especially if another dog starts to fight with them first.

If a dog was raised with Love and Kindness, and another dog came up to it with aggression, they would stand up proud and defend themselves with a proper growl. Then, they'd usually just go off and start sniffing the grass again.

However, a caveat here is that may depend on the energy they receive from their owner. If WE have the fear of a fight starting, we transmit that very thought and image to our dog.

Here is where the tip comes in. WE must work on projecting a Calm Submissive attitude, as Cesar Millan, the Pit Bull Whisperer (as Leroy called him in his book) would say. I agree with Cesar; he is my Hero. My way is just to project Love and Joy, no FEAR! Fear is not aloud on a walk with any dog. So, we reach the same effect of our projections.

That's it! It all depends on how you handle your dog, AND your Energy. I tend to notice all the beauty in the nature around me, and, not allow any fear or negative thought enter my mind. Just keep smiling and enjoying every moment, and everything that takes place in that moment.

Another way to say this, is to just stay centered in your Heart Space. All animals
communicate and sense the world through their hearts. That's why they can always sense Fear. And they can sense Love and Peace, and  Joy as well. You will learn to communicate better with your pet, when your remain Heart-Centered.
