A Happy Dog's a Good Dog, And a Good Dog's a Happy Dog

How to Have a Happy Dog 101

The very first thing one needs to consider, is: Why do you want a dog? A dog is not a toy that you can play with when you want to, and put away when you're done. Nor is it a Trophy to look pretty in your yard. And certainly, it is Not something you can leave out side, or even alone for long periods of time.

No, a dog is a living, feeling being, with a soul, just like you are and have.

So, why do you want to have a dog? Really consider your true answer to this question. The best answer I could give, would be, "Because I have a big heart, a big, fenced-in back yard, and I want to give a dog a good, loving home." For me, this means I'd get a rescue dog.

If you have a desire to make a difference in a dog's life, and have a happy dog, that is the best reason to get a dog.. All it takes to make a difference and have a happy dog, is to provide the proper outlet for your dog's needs.

So, how do you know if you are providing an outlet for all it's needs? Your dog will let you know by way of any unwanted behavior.

When excessive barking, daily messing in the house, or digging in the yard cease, you'll know you've reached the level of physical and mental daily exercise your dog is happy with.

The key here is daily. Not just on your days off, or when you feel like it. Just like you, they require daily exercise and activities everyday.

So, remember: A Happy Dog's A Good Dog and A Good Dog is a Happy Dog.
